A great British fashion moment

Caroline Rush, chief executive of the British Fashion Council

I’m lucky enough to have worked in the fashion industry for many years, but in my entire career it’s hard to think of a time that compares to the current buzz around the British fashion industry. From Christopher Kane’s groundbreaking aesthetic to Christopher Bailey’s pioneering approach to design at Burberry, talented British designers are writing the international fashion agenda, and all eyes are on London Fashion Week. Vodafone London Fashion Weekend has always been the perfect full-stop to London Fashion Week, and the upcoming September edition will reflect the breadth of British fashion talent as never before.

We have a few months to go, but preparations are already underway to ensure that the upcoming autumn/winter edition Vodafone London Fashion Weekend is our best yet. From first season independent labels to world-class design houses, you can expect to shop a carefully curated mix of brand names at industry-insider prices. In other words, this is fashion’s biggest (and most exclusive) designer pop-up.

And while Vodafone London Fashion Weekend offers a unique shopping experience, it’s also a brilliant opportunity to immerse yourself in great British fashion talent, from insider style advice to industry expert panel discussions. I’ll be able to reveal our catwalk schedule in due course, but I can tell you that this season we’re working with some of the most exciting designers that the industry has produced in recent years as well as established British designers. I hope you can join us to celebrate—and shop—this unparalleled moment in fashion.
