How would you sum up your label's aesthetic?
AW: Amanda Wakeley is an iconic British luxury fashion brand based in London. Founded 25 years ago in 1990, the brand captures the essence of international jet-set lifestyle. The aesthetic vision reflects sleek lines with impeccable cut, exceptional quality, and a good dose of British understated versatile chic.

What’s the best bit of the job?
AW: The process of creation, having an idea and following it through to a finished piece.

What’s the worst bit of the job?
AW: Too few hours in the day!

What’s on your studio playlist right now?
AW: That’s Alright With Me by Penny Goodwin. It is an old track and I love her voice. I am also into Guy Gerber, a very cool DJ.

What’s your best tip for surviving fashion week?
AW: A good manicure, food by Honestly Healthy and a secret stash of dark chocolate in my Bullet bag.

If you weren’t talking to us right now, what would you be doing?
AW: Working or walking my dog Lola.

What sets the London fashion industry apart?
AW: A unique sense of creativity that you can’t find anywhere else in the world.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?
AW: To create my own business Amanda Wakeley and to be positioned as a luxury lifestyle brand, comprising a strong and rapidly growing presence in daywear, spanning flawless tailoring, luxury sportswear, sumptuous cashmeres and an expanding line of statement accessories and fine jewellery. I feel very fortunate to be able to work with my passion.

If you could dress anyone, who would it be and why?
AW: The Duchess of Cambridge. She embodies the Amanda Wakeley woman and I enjoyed a great relationship with the late Diana Princess of Wales. Amanda Wakeley dresses daughters and mothers.

Describe your s/ s 2015 collection in five words….
AW: Crisp, clean, versatile, simple, cool.

What is your fancy dress costume of choice?
AW: I’d transform into a black Labrador
