August In London: Where To Go, What To See

The end of summer may be in sight, but we plan to make the most of these last weeks of sunshine. Read on for the best places to see and be seen in the capital this August.

Bleach Bar

Dalston’s Bleach has quietly built its rep as London’s hippest salon thanks to its delicious candy-coloured dye jobs and a client roster that includes the likes of Alice Dellal, Keira Knightley, Sienna Miller and Pixie Geldof. And this month, the Bleach team is hosting its first pop-up bar in Dalston.  Expect tropical cocktails, signature snacks from East London baking collective Tart, and jaw-dropping interiors by David White, who has collaborated with the likes of Vivienne Westwood, Kenzo and Acne.

When: Open from from 14 August – 11 October, Thursday through to Saturday.

Equinox Yoga Sessions

Equinox gym and Kensington private member’s club Pavilion have joined forces to create London’s best spot for a sun salutation. During August members and non-members are invited to join the gym’s signature Rise & Flow yoga sessions on Pavilion’s stunning roof terrace. Prices are £25 per class for non-members, and include an indulgent breakfast specially prepared by Pavilion’s head chef, Adam Simmonds.

Rooftop Cinema Club

Perched on top of Peckham’s Bussey Building and offering spectacular 360-degree views of London, delicious food and drink, and a party vibe, the Rooftop Cinema Club experience is about as far as you can get from a night at your local multiplex. The August programme is crammed with crowd-pleasing cult classics including Romeo & Juliet, Breakfast At Tiffany’s and Trainspotting. Book quickly though, tickets sell out fast.

Chandon Pool Party

Perfect for water babies and vintage fans alike, Moët Hennessey is celebrating the launch of its first sparkling wine, Chandon, by throwing the ultimate pool party. For one night only Chandon is taking over Tooting Bec Lido and filling it with synchronised swimmers, DJs, vintage-kitted waitresses, cheese toasties, ice cream and cookie sandwiches and lots of bubbles.

When: Saturday, August 30, from 4 to 10pm
