High life: 3 rooftop bars that will make your summer
When the sun is shining, there’s nothing quite like a stunning view to accompany your cocktail. While we can’t guarantee a blazing sunshine (sorry), we have tracked down the hottest sky-high bars to enjoy a cool drink in the capital when summer finally shows up.
Radio
Conveniently located opposite Vodafone London Fashion Weekend’s home at Somerset House, Radio’s sleek bar is located on tenth floor of the ME London hotel. The grand art deco building was formerly Marconi House, where the BBC first began regularly broadcasting in 1922—hence the bar’s name. The AM/FM (gin, Chambord, mint and passion fruit) is the ideal accompaniment to bar’s spectacular view of Westminster, the Shard and Covent Garden.
Where? ME London, 336-337 Strand, WC2R 1HA

Frank’s Café
A multi-storey car park in Peckham may not sound like the destination for an brilliant night out, but trust us on this one. The summer-only bar doubles up as an exhibition space and is a favourite with the city’s fashion and art party crowd. It serves up imaginative cocktails and unparalleled views across the city. Well worth the trip.
Where? 10th floor, Peckham multi-storey car park, 95a Rye Lane, SE15 4ST

SushiSamba
Not one for those who hate heights, SushiSamba sits pretty on the 38th and 39th floors of the Heron Tower and is Britain's highest outdoor dining terrace with views stretching towards Canary Wharf and the Olympic Stadium. But it’s not just the scenery; the bar’s mixologists have combined Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian influences to create an innovative and rather delicious cocktail menu that could tempt even the most terrified vertigo sufferers to make the trip.
Where? Heron Tower, 110 Bishopsgate, EC2N 4AY
