“My spring summer 2014 collection has elements of exotic Moroccan architecture and patterns weaved into dresses. It’s gorgeous, all the visual pleasure, the architecture, the metalwork, the tiles on the walls which are so beautifully intricate, the exotic gardens, the scents, the meandering souks - I looked to use all this information in a modern way and not the obvious. By turning it upside down, mixing it up I discovered new shapes, silhouettes and you can definitely see glimpses of these evocations in my Spring Summer 2014 collection.

My favourite styles are the Sayfia, Marrekech and the Sofia – they are long, detailed evening gowns and perfectly embody the glamorous Julien Macdonald woman – and the women who will be watching my show at Vodafone London Fashion Weekend.”
