Roksanda’s Triumph
Roksanda Ilincic has long been a London Fashion Week favourite thanks to her striking jewel tones and bold silhouettes, and since launching her label she has won an army of A-list fans from Carey Mulligan to Kate Middleton. But her latest collaboration sees the designer take her fashion know-how and modern aesthetic in a new direction.
Roksanda has joined forces with Triumph to sit on the lingerie brand’s Women in Making panel alongside fellow designer Sophia Webster, Fenwick buyer Georgina Coulter and Nails Inc. founder Thea Green. Triumph is well known for championing women in creative business and this latest initiative asks would-be entrepreneurs to submit business ideas to the panel. The winner, announced later this month, will receive a £10,000 Triumph bursary, and one-to-one mentorship from the panel.
As well as offering advice to candidates, Roksanda and her fellow Makers have created delectable one-off designs showcasing their talents.
Roksanda has created two highly covetable lingerie sets, both of which are on sale now. The capsule lingerie collection references the designers’ spring/summer 2014 runway collection, which has its roots in Brazilian art and majors on graphic pattern and neon colour-blocking. The results are both feminine and utterly contemporary, and—if you’re feeling daring— perfect for pairing with a sheer top.
