Georgie Minter-Brown - Paul Costelloe

Where to start! The models walked in and out of the seated guests (including Una from the Saturdays and Michelle Keegan) with messy 40's style up do's and a mixture of knee high socks and white tights. The gowns came in a variety of opulent patterns in thick material, with lots of bell sleeves (oh hello sneaky 70's reference...there is no escaping it next season). Shoulders were on show but still kept very classic, while other pieces covered them up in baby doll dresses with ruffled collars. Even though the style of the dresses were cute and youthful, the colours were very grown-up, in jewel tones. And when there was a splash of pastel pink, it was kept under control with snake skin accessories. Soon the tweed came out to play, taking the form of coats and bolero jackets. One of my favourite pieces was a pocketed monochrome collared dress! Collars in general were a main feature, ranging from standard shirt collars to oversized fold overs to fur to Peter Pan styles. My favourite fit and flare style also graced the floor, in pieces suitable for night and day. There were undertones of English heritage in combinations of smart dresses and coats that wouldn't look out of place at a stately home, but given fun twists in bright colours.
