Official SS15 Blogger- Halston Heritage

Halston Heritage was established by Roy Halston Frowick who is considered one of the most important American designers in the history of twentieth-century fashion. Known as a modernist, he advocated a minimalist aesthetic in his designs typically crafting single pattern pieces into simple geometric forms, which were draped and folded on the bias.Founded in the Sixties, the Halston label used signature materials of jersey, cashmere, and suede to reinvent the jumpsuit, the shirtdress, and the classic kaftan. Indeed, Halston’s designs garments were considered the epitome of contemporary luxury and became synonymous with the Seventies and the era of Studio 54.

The Haltson Heritage collection modelled at Somerset House was clearly rejuvenated to cater for its modern audience but remained true to the original design principles. Models ascended the runway in elegant halter-neck dresses, asymmetric maxi dresses with an updated ombre twist and bold, chic trouser suits. The entire collection channelled a more grown-up and relaxed Seventies vibe and for days when you can’t face unforgiving fabrics, this collection allows you to truly celebrate your glamour goddess in luxurious comfort.
