Laura Budd - Topshop Unique
Topshop Unique is always my favourite show, they display edgy looks that still remain wearable. This season they incorporated my five favourite things: tan, pastels, tailoring, loafers and florals. An autumnal dream, absolute perfection.
Fur played an integral part in the autumn/winter collection, allowing it still to look chic but with an added edge. Paired with the fur, powder blue accentuated the seventies vibe that was being played out. Ever stylish and on trend, Topshop Unique took the looks of the moment and gave them a stylish practicality, that definitely did not sacrifice the quality of the collection. Aside from the beauty of the clothes, the model's hair had an effortless, free-spirited texture to it, leading on from the seventies trend and trailing throughout the show, not only demonstrated this through the aesthetics, but through the attitude and atmosphere of the show. We can see definite continuity within Topshop Unique's autumn/winter collection, many reoccurring trends from autumn/winter 14 such as co-ords and the roll-neck sweater, alluding to Topshop's accessibility, perfectly.
There was an essence of the "Sloane-ranger" about this collection, combining many luxurious textures from cord to leather, characterising a preppy take on the Londoner in winter.
