“Every woman is my muse” declared Amanda Wakeley before the unveiling of her collection at Vodafone’s London Fashion Weekend 2015.  Described as Miami Vice revisited, this collection was destined to be achingly cool.

As the models slinked down the catwalk, it was difficult to ignore the collective murmurs of appreciation from the audience. Her signature white collection featured super-relaxed trouser silhouettes including a beautifully tapered peg-leg and slouchy palazzo pant. Harnessing the best of the Eighties, Wakeley’s attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed and was apparent in the sheer, elevated shoulders and elegantly placed asymmetric slits. Judo-inspired sash belts that cinched the waist completely the effortlessly chic look.

            
One of the highlights of the catwalk show was the ‘Bullet Collection’ bags that featured on the runway. Taking inspiration from a beautiful, vintage clasp-bag, Wakeley designed a collection named after famous movie gun-slingers. The Newman was a particular favourite!

Lustrous hair and luminous, polished make-up completed the look. Wakeley spoke of her desire to make every woman feel taller, skinnier and sexier; this certainly rang true and without a double-breasted suit in sight!
