Designer Shopping at London Fashion Weekend

London Fashion Weekend is Britain’s largest biannual consumer fashion showcase taking place at one of London’s finest landmarks: Somerset House. There was designer shopping, catwalk shows, pop-up shops, and industry talks from leading hair, beauty and fashion experts.

Judging by the excited chatter and tangible air of anticipation, many had not anticipated the scale of the event. The designer shopping alone featured over 80 of Britain’s best-loved brands! My designer shopping highlights included:

The Sunglass Hut where I was treated to a sunglasses styling session! After selecting my dream sunglasses: a stunning Tiffany cat-eye, I was treated to a mini photo and video-shoot. Preened and posed, I had to mimic some serious front-row action. Shamelessly acting out my inner Anna Wintour, it was the most fun I’ve ever had in a pop-up shop. Adrien, Zara and all the Sunglass Hut team made this experience so incredibly memorable – I really hope they come back for the next London Fashion Weekend!

Shopping Loxley England
As a seasoned shopper, I am guilty of saving the best ‘till last and this was no exception! Founded by Tess and James, a thoroughly charming and incredibly sincere brother and sister duo, they have drawn upon their English heritage to design a beautiful range of classic leather bags - but with a strong nod to functionality and colour that represents modern life today.

Tess who has been making her own clothes and bags from a young age spotted the need for a practical yet smart bag that would complement smart tailoring on a city commute. Accordingly, one of Loxley’s first designs was the sleek Gloucester Rucksack. The Liberty London Mini Gloucester Rucksack features one of Liberty’s most iconic prints - the Delilah Cavendish depicting the 1930’s florals which are so synonymous with Liberty.
           
Loxley is a label that stands for quality, timelessness and artisan workmanship, and the bags are the very embodiment of this. The leather is full grain, supple and durable which means that the bags will truly stand the test of time.  I certainly can’t wait to parade my Mini Gloucester around town!

Fashion Fun at Fleur B – An independent boutique that stocks a unique selection of contemporary modern labels including Carven, Zoe Jordan, Paige Denim, Goat, American Vintage and Victoria Beckham certainly didn’t disappoint at London Fashion Weekend. There was a fabulous range of clothes on display and the knowledgeable staff were only to keen give advice on how to style different looks. It was a truly enjoyable shopping experience and one I look forward to repeating. Thank you to the wonderful team at Fleur B!
