Boté A Mano is the fruit of a love story between the two founders, Edoardo from Italy and Niloufar from Iran, who first met in Milan in 2012. Since then the two have inspired, stimulated and exposed each other to the beauties, traditions, and artistic mastery of the East and the West. Abandoning all prejudices, and in their eagerness to open a dialogue between the two cultures, they merged their passion and expertise to launch Boté A Mano.

Boté A Mano shoes are a bridge of know-hows between varieties cultures, carrying on a blend of different countries’ cultural identity that results in a unique combination of the Eastern and the Western traditions and techniques.

The shoe design is an inspiration from art and architecture of the ancient Persia, produced by the hands of the finest shoemakers in Italy with unique hand woven fabrics sourced from the countries known for their exquisite textile weaving techniques since the era of the ancient silk road. Fabrics are used on every Boté A Mano shoes as a non-verbal language that unfolds the cultural history of a country, its people, costume and tradition.

To source these jewels, founders, Niloufar & Edoardo, are constantly on the road in search of countries and artisans that are still keeping their traditional techniques alive.

The goal of Boté A Mano is to unite people, techniques and know-hows, while encouraging dialogue, love & appreciation for other cultures beyond skin colour, religion and geographical territory.
